Job summary

Gemic is seeking a People & Operations Manager to be the face of our New York office and a hands-on member of the global People function within the Operations team. You will welcome clients, new hires, and colleagues, and ensure smooth North America operations.

This role involves managing payroll/benefits, onboarding, office hosting, and facilities in an in-person, hospitality‑led environment. On-site in Brooklyn 3–4 days/week with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in office management or HR administration.
• Strong organization and handling confidential information.
• Excellent hosting and customer-service mindset.
• Able to work on-site 3–4 days/week in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll and benefits across global offices, coordinating with external providers.
• Maintain confidential records in the people tool and support visa processes and background checks.
• Coordinate global onboarding for new hires and serve as the NA point of contact for office queries.
• Plan and host client visits, events, and culture activities with global alignment.
• Manage NYC office operations, vendors, and office processes to scale.
