Job summary

7Seventy Recruiting is seeking a People Operations Lead for a growing nonprofit in the US. You will oversee people operations, recruiting, and employee experience, building scalable HR policies, performance management, and compensation practices.

This senior individual-contributor role reports to the Deputy Director, with no current direct reports, but potential to build a small team. You will collaborate with senior leadership, external partners, and legal advisers to ensure compliant HR

Qualifications

• Hands-on US People Operations experience including HR infrastructure and end-to-end recruiting.
• Experience developing scalable HR policies and performance management processes.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruiting and talent pipelines.
• Ability to work with senior leadership and external partners.
• Knowledge of US employment practices, health insurance, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable HR policies and workflows.
• Design and administer performance review cycles.
• Establish career development frameworks and compensation policies.
• Oversee onboarding, benefits administration, and employee experience.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment and manage candidate evaluation.
• Coordinate with external vendors and EOR/PEO providers.
• Plan quarterly team retreats and cross-functional events.
• Ensure HR documentation and compliance with legal advisers.
