An established industry player is seeking a dynamic People Operations Lead to enhance their HR systems and processes. In this hands-on role, you will be pivotal in managing employee benefits, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and innovating onboarding and performance management systems. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on reducing food waste and creating a better environment. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and are passionate about improving employee experiences, this role is perfect for you.
Mill is all about answering a simple question: how can we prevent waste? Less waste can save time, money, energy, maybe even our planet. And there’s no better place to start than food. Food waste is one of the most solvable climate problems facing us today. Plus, our trash really stinks. It’s gross, heavy, and our least favorite chore. At Mill we are striving to build a better environment for all, as we take on climate and kitchen change.
As our People Operations Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling the infrastructure that keeps our team running smoothly. From managing critical systems like benefits to streamlining HR systems and processes, you’ll be the go-to expert for our teams on the smooth People Ops—and a critical partner in ensuring an exceptional employee experience as we scale.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves understanding and improving systems, thrives in fast-paced environments, loves diving into the data and cares deeply about the people behind the processes.
Nice to Have: Familiarity with equity administration and compensation planning.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $100k to $140k. As a growth role, compensation would also include an incentive component, benefits and equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
