Job summary

MDpanel, a leading provider of medical opinions in the United States, seeks a People Operations Generalist to support a multi-state workforce with emphasis on California. The role owns employee relations intake, leave administration, and compliance workflows as the People function scales.

You will partner with the Director of People Operations to improve processes, automate where possible, and ensure compliant, high-quality employee experiences across on-site and remote teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent).
• At least 4 years of progressive HR generalist experience with employee relations and leave administration.
• Multi-state HR experience with California employment law including wage/hour, leaves, and accommodations.
• Experience administering HRIS platforms and building reporting from them.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and maintain thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intake for employee relations matters and guide managers on routine issues.
• Administer leaves end-to-end across states, coordinating with payroll and benefits.
• Own multi-state compliance calendar, wage/hour requirements, and annual filings.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, reporting, onboarding/offboarding, and policy library updates.
