Job summary

MDpanel LLC is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support a multi-state employee base, with a focus on California. You will handle employee relations intake, complex leave administration, and ensure compliant HR processes as the team scales across 24+ states and Canada.

You will own onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data integrity, and automated workflows, while partnering with leadership to update policies and handbook content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years in HR generalist roles with employee relations and leaves.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law, especially California.
• Experience administering HRIS and building reports from HR data.
• Proven ability to automate or improve manual processes with systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as initial intake for employee relations matters and document investigations.
• Administer leaves of absence across states (FMLA, CFRA, PDL) with payroll coordination.
• Manage multi-state compliance calendar and wage/hour requirements.
• Own onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data integrity, and reports.
• Configure and improve automated workflows in HRIS and related tools.
• Maintain employee handbook and policies, updating with leadership.
