Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations and compliance in the United States. You will advise managers, conduct orientations, and manage employee relations, investigations, and leave processes.

You will lead recruiting efforts, coordinate job fairs, and respond to employee inquiries while partnering with HR leadership on resolution plans and training initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
• Advises front line supervisors and managers on resolution of employee relations issues.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientations to foster positive attitude and smooth hand-off to operations.
• Facilitates and documents employee engagement meetings.
• Partners with HR leadership to resolve critical or recurring issues.
• Leads supervisory and management training on HR topics.
• Responds to employee inquiries of moderate complexity regarding policies, procedures and programs.
• Manages non-exempt recruiting activities and first-level exempt recruiting, including job fairs.
• Conducts employee investigations and recommends resolution; manages leave of absence process.
• Answers unemployment claims and prepares for hearings.
• Monitors temporary agency performance and compliance; may supervise a non-exempt HR Coordinator.
