Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Human Resources professional to oversee regulatory compliance, recruit and orient new hires, and manage personnel records for government reporting. You will train managers on interviewing and performance processes, administer salary and benefit programs, and lead exit interviews while supervising HR staff.

The role requires 4+ years of HR experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and HR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• PHR, SPHR or GPHR certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
• Keep track of personnel transactions for government reporting.
• Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and harassment policies.
• Advises management in resolution of employee relations issues.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administers performance review and salary administration programs for equity and effectiveness.
• Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave and EAP.
• Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
• Manages subordinates such as HR Coordinators, HR Generalists, and/or Manager Campus HR.
• Directs, coordinates, and evaluates the assigned unit in accordance with laws and policies.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work of subordinates including performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
