Job summary

The Bruning Law Firm in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR across core functions, reporting to the HR Manager.

You will manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, records compliance, and special HR projects while maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality service to employees.

This role emphasizes process improvement, policy updates, and cross-team collaboration to ensure a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of HR or related admin experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Proficient with HRIS platforms and G-Suite.
• Knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, FMLA, EEO-1 and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment support: post jobs, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, prepare offers and background checks.
• Onboarding & offboarding: orient new hires, process I-9, input data into HRIS, handle separations.
