Job summary

Badger Meter Inc. is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are accurate and efficient while delivering strong employee service.

You will manage records, lifecycle transactions, and HR communications; support HR systems and reporting; and assist with benefits, recognition programs, and audits. This role emphasizes confidentiality, collaboration, and customer service within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Benefits, Payroll, or related administrative role.
• Experience working with HR systems and employee data.
• Prior experience with Workday or similar HRIS platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Execute employee lifecycle transactions and maintain documentation in HR systems.
• Prepare HR communications, correspondence, and employment-related documentation.
• Assist with administration of the Motus vehicle program.
• Support document retention, auditing, and compliance processes.
• Coordinate offboarding and required employment documentation.
• Administer and support employee recognition programs, including service awards.
• Serve as a key point of contact for employee questions and HR support.
• Maintain employee information within HR systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Generate standard and ad hoc reports and support HR data requests and reporting needs.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, document business requirements, and support implementation of HR system enhancements.
• Perform routine data audits, identify discrepancies, and escalation systemic issues as appropriate.
• Process benefit-related invoices and support benefit administration activities.
• Coordinate employee programs, including tuition reimbursement, wellness initiatives, commuter benefits, scholarship programs, and other HR-sponsored offerings.
• Respond to employment verification requests.
