Job summary

Central Plains Center seeks a Director of Human Resources to oversee employment, benefit programs, staff development, and employee relations in Plainview, TX. This full-time role reports to the CEO with significant discretion and direction in managing HR operations.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (preferred) with 5 years of admin/supervisory experience, a TX driver's license, and a Notary Public certification (Center pays for notary fees).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma accepted.
• At least 5 years in administrative and supervisory roles.
• Notary Public certification required or to be obtained; fees paid by Center.
• Valid TX driver's license and insurability required.
• Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Responsibilities

• Oversees employment processes, benefits, staff development and relations.
• Represents the Center in legal matters related to employment issues.
• Work under general supervision with substantial discretion and judgement.
• Process job postings and hire packets; manage new employee clearances.
• Coordinate exit interviews and respond to claims and lawsuits.
• Coordinate health/dental insurance functions and staff training.
