Stripe is seeking a People Consultant to join our Chicago-based global team. You will empower managers across the US and Canada with coaching, policy guidance, and strategic HR support to drive performance and organizational health.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, change management, and employee experience. You will partner across functions to ensure compliant, fair, and positive experiences for the company’s people as we scale rapidly.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of HR experience including client-facing roles such as HR Generalist or HRBP
• Direct manager coaching and advisory experience
• Working knowledge of US employment law and practices
• Strong data analysis skills to diagnose problems and propose solutions
• Proactive mindset to improve processes and drive impact
• Excellent written and verbal communication with managers at all levels

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted coaching and consulting to managers at various levels across topics like performance, career development, and employee relations
• Act as a subject matter expert on HR policies and processes to support managers and staff
• Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex employee matters and ensure compliance
• Support talent management initiatives such as cyclical reviews and workforce planning
• Guide teams through organizational change and restructuring communications
• Analyze people data to identify gaps in processes, policies, or culture
• Ensure strong employee experiences across life-cycle stages including onboarding and departures
• Lead with empathy to foster inclusion and belonging
