Job summary

Sweetgreen is seeking a People Generalist to own employee relations, leaves administration, and compliance for our Support Center and Restaurant teams. You will partner with Legal, Payroll, and Risk to manage investigations, accommodations, and documentation while upholding data integrity across People systems.

You will drive process improvements, create SOPs, and support onboarding, performance cycles, and open enrollment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience focused on employee relations.
• 3+ years managing leaves and ADA accommodations.
• Knowledge of FMLA, state leave laws; California experience preferred.
• Experience with HRIS and case management systems.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/ SCP certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee relations case lifecycle from intake through closure.
• Manage leaves of absence and accommodations for Field and Support Center employees.
• Partner with Risk and workers’ compensation carrier; guide accommodation/return-to-work conversations.
• Oversee employment compliance programs including I-9, E-Verify, and labor posting.
• Handle organizational hierarchy changes and data integrity across People systems.
• Develop SOPs, templates, knowledge base content, and workflow automation.
