Job summary

Superior Environmental Solutions, LLC in Cincinnati is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations, maintain records, administer benefits, and ensure compliant, people-focused practices across the organization.

You will work with managers and employees, handle HRIS data (ADP), onboarding, investigations, and policy updates while staying current on employment laws and fostering a safe, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–6 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Experience working within an HRIS platform; ADP experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs consistently
• Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy, data integrity and confidentiality
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee benefit inquiries
• Process employee status changes, terminations, and offboarding activities
• Set up new team members in ADP, ensuring accurate entry of employee data, job details, and required documentation
• Support ADP onboarding tasks and workflows to support a smooth and compliant new hire experience
• Assist with internal HR reporting and documentation needs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR questions and employee relations matters
• Provide guidance to managers on workplace issues, corrective actions, performance conversations, documentation, coaching and conflict resolution
• Assist with investigations and documentation related to employee concerns, policy violations, and workplace issues
• Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs and mitigate HR-related risks
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
• Assist with audits, reporting, and HR compliance initiatives
• Help develop, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbook content
• Collaborate with operations, safety, and leadership teams to drive a positive, safe, and productive work environment
• Support local and enterprise-wide projects as assigned
• Stay abreast of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes and make recommendations for continuous improvement
