Meijer, a family-owned regional retailer, seeks a store leader to plan, direct and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales while maintaining customer service and store standards, and ensure staffing and training align with business needs.

The role focuses on developing talent, managing P&L, shrink, and ensuring safe, efficient in-store operations with a strong emphasis on customer experience and teamwork.

Formación

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and analyze financial information.
• Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling.
• Ability to mentor team members including SDITs and hourly staff.
• Completion of required certifications is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development opportunities; involved in promotions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions; makes recommendations on discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures the team is thoroughly trained in all job aspects and required training is completed.
• Spends most time in-store communicating with customers and team to ensure exceptional service.
• Promotes a safe work environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance is required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
