Job summary

Carter Lumber in Ohio is seeking an energetic Inside Sales Rep to be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and product guidance to customers. You will share product information, propose project estimates, process transactions, and follow up on online quotes.

You’ll cold-call to qualify leads, support the Outside Sales Reps, and help with inventory control. This full-time role includes salary plus commission, comprehensive benefits, and training on our products and POS

Qualifications

• Experience working in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store and share product information.
• Provide advice on project needs and prepare estimates.
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes.
• Cold call to qualify new leads and support Outside Sales Reps.
• Assist in inventory control and cycle counting.
• Complete training on products and POS system.
