Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking an Human Resource Manager in Sioux Falls to be the go-to HR partner for the store. You will support employees from their first day through their careers, handling recruiting, payroll, employee relations and compliance to keep the store running smoothly and the team supported.

You will advise department heads, manage performance reviews, scheduling, benefits and wages, and coordinate training and new hire orientations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2–3 years HR and accounting coursework preferred.
• Hy-Vee experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and discretion are essential.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store leadership to manage recruitment, payroll, employee relations and compliance.
• Coordinate employee data updates in Workday and other HR systems.
• Counsel department heads and employees on performance reviews, scheduling, benefits, wages, and personnel matters.
• Coordinate hiring processes including interviewing, placement, orientation and training.
• Handle payroll adjustments, bonuses and leave requests; transmit info to corporate office.
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure HR policies are followed.
