DP World in York is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with employees and leaders, handling HR support across relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and benefits. The role focuses on creating a positive, compliant, and accountable workplace in a fast-paced operation.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field and experience in HR, payroll, and HRIS systems within manufacturing or logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, or business or a field related to the position.
• Experience in professional-level HR, payroll, customer service, or general office duties in a logistics or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Knowledge of local HR laws, rules, and regulations affecting HR administration.

Responsabilités

• Answer routine HR inquiries on topics such as policies, records, wages, and attendance.
• Participate in recruitment: posting jobs, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire communications.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training.
• Assist with payroll and HRIS data maintenance.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain records.
• Coordinate with Employee Representatives on grievances per the collective agreement.
• Ensure benefits enrollment and changes are updated.
• Investigate incidents to determine causes and prevent hazards.
• Maintain seniority lists and other HR reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
