Job summary

ConnectOne Bank in Union, NJ is seeking a Talent Resources Manager to lead HR policies and programs with a focus on employee relations and the overall employee experience.

You will advise managers, conduct investigations, support talent management initiatives, and coordinate onboarding and offboarding while ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, organizational development, or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws (EEOC, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA).
• Experience advising and coaching managers on HR issues.
• Proven ability to manage employee relations and investigations.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, MS Office and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HR policies, programs, and procedures focusing on employee relations.
• Lead employee relations programs ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Advise managers on complex employee relations issues.
• Conduct investigations into complex employee relations matters.
• Guide internal clients on HR issues—performance, terminations, policies.
• Support Talent Resources Director in talent management programs.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes and coordinate with IT/HR ops.
• Recommend policy improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
