Job summary

Chateau at Bothell Landing in Bothell, WA seeks an experienced Human Resources Director to lead community HR operations, partner with executive leadership, and foster an accountable, supportive workplace.

You will coach managers through employee relations, performance management, recruitment onboarding, compliance, and training while building strong cross-department relationships. This hands-on role requires a PHR or SHRM-CP and 5+ years HR experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification required.
• Strong knowledge of Washington employment practices and federal employment requirements.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or service-focused environment preferred.
• Experience using HRISPaycom is preferred and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coach and advise leaders through employee relations, performance management, attendance, corrective action, and staffing decisions.
• Lead employee relations by investigating concerns and recommending next steps with HR leadership.
• Support recruitment and onboarding with hiring managers to attract candidates and ensure a smooth onboarding.
• Oversee compliance, manage employee records, background screening, and documentation.
• Develop managers through HR training and policy reinforcement across the organization.
• Guide performance management with timely reviews, feedback, and employee development plans.
• Lead community HR support including coaching and development of the HR Coordinator.
• Coordinate across HR functions with Payroll and Benefits for changes and questions.
• Use Paycom and data trends to improve retention, engagement, and processes.
• Build a positive employee experience with recognition, communication, and engagement.
