Job summary

Potbelly is seeking a General Manager in the Pleasant Prairie area to lead a high-energy shop team. You will be responsible for all aspects of store operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and creating a welcoming, efficient environment for customers and staff.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years GM experience in food service or retail with P&L responsibility; Food Safety Certification is required, and 80-90% of time on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as General Manager in restaurant or retail with P&L responsibility.
• Pass and obtain Food Safety Certification; IL applicants must be certified within 30 days.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Able to manage budgets, schedules, and labor goals.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop shop team members to maximize potential.
• Interview, select, and hire quality staff representing Potbelly values.
• Schedule Associates, Trainers, and Shift Leaders effectively.
• Drive local shop marketing to increase sales and community presence.
• Maintain Good Vibes culture and handle customer issues with care.
• Control costs, inventories, and P&L items for the shop.
