Job summary

Potbelly in Aurora, IL seeks a General Manager to lead the shop with a focus on strong team culture and customer experience. You will manage P&L, drive sales, and ensure safety and quality standards while building a high-energy environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of GM experience in food service or retail with P&L responsibility; strong communication and scheduling skills; and a commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as General Manager in restaurant/retail with P&L responsibility preferred.
• Must meet all Food Safety requirements and obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Illinois applicants must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment.
• 18+ years of age and ability to stand/walk 8-9 hours; min 45 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop shop team members to realize potential.
• Interview, select and hire great people; build a Good Vibes culture.
• Schedule associates, certified trainers and shift leaders; maintain labor goals.
• Drive neighborhood shop marketing and promotions to maximize sales potential.
• Control costs of goods, variances, inventories; manage back-of-house standards.
