Job summary

Carter’s in Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll welcome customers, introduce baby essentials, and support families through the first days and milestones.

You’ll foster an inclusive environment, coach the team on product styles, features, and benefits, and partner with the Store Manager on staffing, merchandising, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to train and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our great product styles, features and benefits
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers
• Coaching others to success and maintaining service standards
• Assist Store Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, and development
• Plan, track, analyze, and report on store tasks and financial results
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising and promotions
• Reduce loss through customer service and operational controls
