Modern Family Law, a boutique firm specializing in Family Law, seeks a compassionate People & Culture Specialist to lead employee relations, leave, and accommodations for a multi-state workforce. This remote-friendly role partners with managers and attorneys to resolve workplace issues, apply policy, and drive a positive employee experience.

You will own case management from intake to resolution, maintain confidential records, and support manager education while ensuring compliance across

Formación

• 5+ years in employee relations or HR with independent ownership of complex matters.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience conducting employee relations reviews or investigations.
• Hands-on experience administering leave and accommodation processes (ADA, FMLA, state/local laws).
• Knowledge of multi-state employment practices (CA, CO, TX, WA, VA, GA) across jurisdictions.
• Experience in a law firm or multi-state organization preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day employee relations processes from intake to resolution with clear documentation.
• Serve as a trusted partner to managers, attorneys, and employees and coach on next steps.
• Advise managers on performance, conduct, attendance, and workplace concerns.
• Escalate significant risks to People & Culture leadership as needed.
• Maintain confidential case records and track deadlines through completion.
• Own leave and accommodation matters, coordinating ADA, FMLA, and local requirements.
• Coordinate leave administration with payroll and benefits while protecting confidential information.
• Monitor jurisdictional changes and support policy updates and manager guidance.
• Lead approved employee relations initiatives from planning to adoption.
• Develop procedures and templates to improve consistency and compliance.
• Review data to identify trends and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve employee matters.
