Description

The Iron Horse is seeking a People & Culture Manager to join the team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with the hotel's luxury service standards. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality, talent development, and employee engagement.

What will I be doing?

Talent Management

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for leadership and hourly hospitality roles.
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure smooth integration of new hires.

Associate Relations & Engagement

  • Foster an inclusive, positive work environment.
  • Advise managers and associates on HR matters.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns promptly.
  • Organize engagement and recognition programs.

Training & Development

  • Facilitate training to enhance skills and guest service.
  • Oversee leadership development and succession planning.
  • Ensure timely compliance training for all associates.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage payroll in collaboration with Finance.
  • Administer benefits including health, retirement, and wellness programs.
  • Monitor industry trends for competitive compensation.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws.
  • Maintain HR records and documentation.
  • Lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support workplace safety and risk mitigation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years HR leadership experience, with at least 3 in a management role in hospitality or related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws.
  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro systems and payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
