Job summary

Chickie’s & Pete’s is seeking an HR Manager to lead day-to-day human resources across multiple locations and the corporate HQ. You will partner with GMs and leadership on employee relations, hiring, onboarding, training, compliance, benefits, 401(k) and HR records.

You’ll also back up payroll processing when needed, support safety and OSHA programs, and help maintain a positive, people-first culture across our four pillars: People, Clean, Quality, and Guest Experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in restaurants, hospitality or another multi-location business.
• Hands-on payroll experience, preferably with Paycom or a similar payroll and timekeeping system.
• Experience handling employee relations, investigations and terminations with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong organization and time management with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work with team members and leaders at every level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employee relations, policy guidance, coaching and performance discussions.
• Conduct confidential investigations and document findings with recommended actions.
• Lead recognition and engagement initiatives, track turnover and retention metrics.
• Manage onboarding of new hires, including I-9s, tax forms and residency verifications.
• Assist with payroll verification and processing when needed and support payroll continuity.
