Job summary

Zeno Power is seeking a People & Culture Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle, maintain reliable HRIS data, and implement scalable processes as the company grows. You will collaborate with Recruiting, Finance, IT, and Operations and report to the Director of People & Culture.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in HR/People roles, hands‑on experience with onboarding, HRIS, benefits, leaves, and compliance, and a strong focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years progressive, broad‑based experience in Human Resources or People & Culture
• Experience across onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits, leaves, employee records, compliance, performance processes, offboarding
• Ability to work across multiple state employment requirements and build scalable processes

Responsibilities

• Own and improve onboarding from offer to first weeks with systems, documentation and partners
• Manage lifecycle processes: background checks, eligibility verification, changes, promotions, transfers, offboarding
• Maintain HRIS data, conduct audits, provide reporting
• Improve P&C workflows, templates, resources, and automate where possible
• Administer benefits enrollment, life events, vendor coordination, open enrollment
• Support leaves and track compliance with company policies
• Be the go‑to for employee questions on benefits, policies, and processes
• Develop compliance calendars, notices, trainings, and record retention
• Partner with Recruiting to smooth candidate‑to‑employee transition
• Draft clear employee communications about policies and updates
• Generate recurring reports and practical insights from people data
