Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College seeks a Human Resources Generalist to provide professional guidance and coordination across HR administration. The role covers benefits, classification, employee relations, organizational design, performance management, and talent management.

You will collaborate with managers to optimize design and training needs, oversee performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience in relevant areas.
• Preferred: HR Generalist in Higher Education.
• Proficient with MS Office and HRIS analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and consultative support to employees and management on HR issues.
• Coach management and employees to enhance communication and development conversations.
• Identify organizational design, development or training needs with managers.
• Coordinate and facilitate performance evaluations and feedback processes.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and provide insights to leadership.
• Support health, welfare, and retirement programs including benefits enrollment and changes.
• Assist with open enrollment and communicate benefit programs.
• Assist in compensation program administration and related analyses.
• Review pay/status/job change requests and ensure documentation is complete.
• Maintain job descriptions and ensure accuracy in internal systems.
• Assist with data gathering for market surveys and HR projects.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
