Job summary

Northwest State Community College is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to focus on researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent. You will manage the candidate experience, including sourcing, interviewing, and moving applicants through the hiring process.

You will collaborate with hiring managers to understand current and future needs, build talent pipelines, and promote the college through targeted postings and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
• Three or more years of relevant experience required.
• Recent experience recruiting multiple discipline areas and levels preferred.
• HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring for open positions using recruiting strategies.
• Assists with promotion and branding to attract candidates.
• Collaborates with hiring managers to understand required skills and competencies.
• Delivers search committee training on hiring practices and procedures.
• Maintains job postings on college channels and other sites.
• Attends job fairs as needed.
• Updates Applicant Tracking System for all openings.
• Handles employment inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Prepares offer letters and collaborates on job descriptions.
• Conducts stay interviews and analyzes data to drive action items.
• Cross-trains with HR to support onboarding and benefits.
