Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support benefits, compensation, employee relations, and performance management. The role reports to the Director of People and Culture and involves collaborating with management on organizational design and training needs.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining job descriptions, conducting performance evaluations, and generating workforce reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role across relevant areas.
• Preferred: Human Resources Generalist in Higher Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and consultative support to employees and management on HR issues.
• Coach management to foster effective communication and development conversations.
• Collaborate with managers to identify organizational design or training needs and may provide training.
• Coordinate and facilitate performance evaluation processes ensuring timely evaluations and constructive feedback.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Support health and welfare and retirement program inquiries including enrollment and status changes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
