Job description

Lola Blankets is a direct-to-consumer brand creating the most beloved blankets on the internet. As we grow, we’re looking for a thoughtful, proactive operator to up-level and grow our internal team experience, our external contract negotiation, and company compliance across all functions. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for structuring and managing all external partnership agreements, overseeing company-wide compliance topics, and cultivating an exceptional employee experience.

2. Core Responsibilities:

Partnerships & Contracts

  • Draft, review, and manage all partner agreements, including influencers, vendors, affiliates, and agencies
  • Track expiration dates, key terms, and deliverables in a centralized contract database
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure all external partnerships align with business goals and risk standards
  • Lead contract negotiations with an eye toward clarity, enforceability, and brand alignment

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Oversee legal and regulatory compliance across employment, e-commerce, advertising, and product labeling; serve as internal expert and liaison to external counsel, when needed, on all compliance-related topics
  • Manage company trademarks—including registration, renewals, and coordination with IP counsel as needed
  • Stay current on evolving standards and proactively update internal processes and policies
  • Manage all filings, certifications, and reporting obligations related to labor, privacy, and trade regulations
  • Provide internal guidance on issues such as FTC influencer guidelines, GDPR, and international hiring

Human Resources & Employee Experience

  • Own internal HR operations from job postings to exit interviews, including screening, onboarding, and documentation; partner as appropriate with external HR partners
  • Administer payroll, benefits tracking, and PTO systems
  • Lead regular, structured employee performance review processes with the Head of Ops and department leads
  • Maintain and evolve employee handbook and HR policies
  • Champion a positive, inclusive employee experience—ensuring every team member feels informed, supported, and valued
  • Plan and coordinate team-building activities, offsites, and culture-driven touchpoints
  • Organize onboarding materials, team documentation, and internal communications

3. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct ownership of Compliance/Legal operations and/or HR operations in a consumer-facing business, with experience and exposure across both functions
  • Experience at a fast-growing brand is preferred
  • Fluency in contract and employment law best practices
  • Demonstrated success managing HR processes across a small but growing remote team
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Confident communicator with a people-first mindset and a deep respect for structure and detail
  • Collaborative, low-ego, high-energy operator
