Description & Requirements

The Project Manager - Legal will lead and coordinate a wide range of projects within the Legal Department, from routine tasks to complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role will oversee the compliance forms process and ensure timely updates and adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic goals across the legal function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Implement program wide initiatives.

- Oversee Program Management status.

- Report and communicate plans to client.

- Partner with leadership to assess risk.

- Provide leadership, coordination, and management of the PMO processes and functions.

- Provide supervision to the team that provides program management support functions and administrative support to the program.

- Work closely with IT department to verify that proper processes and procedures are utilized across systems.

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure delivery of integrated projects and programs.

- Ensure the Legal Department’s workflow is aligned to priorities and identify solutions to increase overall efficiency.

- Actively manage and identify process and procedure improvement for the legal department

- Collaborate effectively with multiple departments including finance, procurement, proposals, capture, operators, and internal legal teams such as privacy, compliance, and tech.

- Manage the compliance form processes including filling out compliance forms, managing SMEs, etc.

- Manage signature processes.

- Assign work to attorneys.

- Effectively supports in the coordination of the US Services leadership off-site.

- Implement and manage the new hire onboarding processes for the legal department.

- Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.

- Performs special projects and responsibilities assigned by the leadership.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Legal/Compliance background a plus

- Ability to lead through influence

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
