Job summary

The Arc of Howard County in Ellicott City, MD is seeking a Planning Specialist to provide planning and LTSS billing support, and basic case management oversight related to PCP processes and the DSAT, SIP and NPOC work.

You will lead the PCP process for various services, coordinate assessments, train staff, manage scheduling, and ensure regulatory compliance across documentation and service plans. The role emphasizes collaboration with teams to identify funding and waivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred; or direct experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
• Knowledge of Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) and HCBS Final Rule, waiver and service definitions and regulations, guidelines, procedures & philosophy strongly preferred.
• Three years of experience in the field of IDD is preferred.
• Person-Centered planning development and implementation experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage PCP process for people receiving community living, meaningful day, CDS, employment, supported living, or other services.
• Lead staff training to support person-centered initiatives, plans, outcomes, and goals.
• Schedule PCP activities and ensure coordination with Coordinators of Community Services.
• Monitor documentation and outcomes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
