Job summary

The Arc Southern Chesapeake is seeking a Programs Coordinator to oversee direct support staff, schedules, and daily operations across homes in the Tri-County area. The role involves supervising Direct Support Professionals, assisting with hiring, and ensuring compliance with care plans and documentation.

This position requires strong communication skills, a valid driver's license, and experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Travel across Calvert, Charles, and St.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• Two years of experience with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Valid driving license with clean record; pass agency background check
• Willingness to work across Tri-County area (Calvert, Charles, St. Mary’s)

Responsibilities

• Plan schedules and maintain staffing ratios for DSPs
• Fill in for staff to cover shifts
• Assist in interviewing and hiring DSPs
• Provide orientation and feedback to staff
• Ensure plans (nursing, behavior) are reviewed and signed
• Monitor client health records and documentation
• Coordinate house meetings and complete inspections/drills
• Manage budgets and daily living quality within homes
• Respond to emergencies after hours when needed
• Support health, wellness and activity planning for consumers
