Job summary

Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) seeks a Member Contact Center Representative to serve as the liaison between IMRF and its members, annuitants, and beneficiaries. You will handle phone inquiries and may respond to emails and online chats, delivering empathetic, accurate guidance on retirement eligibility and benefits.

With training in IMRF policies and procedures, you will research questions, resolve issues, and maintain records while delivering outstanding customer service across

Qualifications

Associate degree plus 1 year of customer service or pension plan administration experience (preferred).
Or three years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Respond to member inquiries via phone and analyze requests about pension questions and benefits.
Investigate and follow up on refund, retirement, and disability claims and related processes.
Assist with address changes, direct deposit, tax withholding, and account inquiries.
Provide accurate, timely information and high‑quality customer service.
Maintain knowledge of benefit policies, changes, and IMRF procedures.
