Job summary

Rosecrance Mulberry Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Peer Specialist for the 3rd shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 12am-8:30am). The role supports outpatient treatment, leads peer-led groups, and delivers education to clients and families.

Starting pay varies by education level: HS/GED $18.43/hr, Associate’s $19.37/hr, Bachelor’s $20.25/hr. Onsite position with comprehensive benefits and daily pay options are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRSS certification or plan to become certified within 18 months for full-time roles and within 3 years for part-time.
• Must meet RSA per Illinois DMH Rule 132.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in delivering outpatient behavioral health services.
• Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and safe manner.
• Deliver peer education and lead groups for clients and families.
• Coordinate lectures for clients, parents, and community resources.
• Adhere to Rosecrance Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
