Job summary

Rosecrance Champaign-Walnut on-site role supports behavioral health outpatient services and delivers peer-led groups and education. You’ll coordinate care with a treatment team and help clients and families apply recovery strategies in daily life.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and be eligible under RSA Rule 132; bilingual or additional certifications are a plus. Salary varies by education, and a full-time schedule from 8:30am to 5pm is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and participation in the Peer Recovery Training Program
• Must Qualify as an RSA per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
• Demonstrated understanding of emotional, psychological, and practical aspects of mental health and wellness
• Ability to coordinate and present lectures for clients, parents, and community resources
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
• Must have own transportation
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
• Adhere to prescribed work hours and any additional hours as needed
• Navigate between treatment programs and levels of care
• Participate as a partner in design, implementation, and evaluation of treatment solutions
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for behavioral health disorders
• Provide peer crisis support in partnership with team members
• Deliver peer education regarding behavioral health treatment
• Facilitate peer-led groups
• Observe and support outpatient group programming
• Facilitate focal group discussion sessions
• Serve as a member of the treatment team and participate in team meetings
• Comply with Rosecrance Compliance Program and Code of Conduct
• Deliver exceptional customer service and be a role model for staff and clients
• Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in delivering outpatient behavioral health services
• Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and safe environment
• Deliver peer education and lead peer-led groups
• Assist clients transitioning between treatment programs and levels of care
• Observe and support outpatient group programming
• Be a role model and uphold Rosecrance values
