Rosecrance Ware Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a Part-time Peer Recovery Specialist to support behavioral health outpatient services. The role involves facilitating recovery discussions, peer-led groups, and outreach to clients and families.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with Peer Recovery Training, a valid IL driver's license, and a commitment to Rosecrance's mission and compliance standards. Onsite work with evening hours and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and participation in Peer Recovery Training Program.
• Must qualify as RSA per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132.
• Understanding of emotional, psychological, and practical aspects of mental health and wellness.
• Ability to coordinate and present lectures for clients, parents, and community resources.
• Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance.
• Adhere to prescribed work hours set by leadership, and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
• Navigate and assist individuals transitioning between treatment programs and levels of care.
• Actively participate as a partner in the design, implementation, and evaluation of treatment solutions.
• Provide appropriate behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with behavioral health disorders.
• Provide peer crisis support in partnership with other team members.
• Deliver peer education regarding behavioral health treatment.
• Facilitate peer-led groups.
• Observe and support outpatient group programming
• Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
• Serve as a member of the treatment team and participate in team meetings and activities.
• Understand and comply with all the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
• Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in the delivery of behavioral health outpatient treatment services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.
• Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Navigate between treatment programs and levels of care and assist individuals transitioning.
• Deliver peer education regarding behavioral health treatment and facilitate peer-led groups.
• Observe and support outpatient group programming and focal group discussions.
• Serve as a member of the treatment team and participate in team meetings and activities.
