Job summary

Rosecrance Behavioral Health in Champaign-Walnut is seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Specialist to support outpatient behavioral health services and help clients apply recovery concepts in daily life.

You will participate as a team member, deliver peer education, facilitate groups, coordinate lectures, and ensure compliance with mission and safety standards. This is a full-time role with hours 8:30am–5pm, Mon–Fri, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus after 9 months.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required and enrollment in Peer Recovery Training Program.
• Must qualify as RSA per Illinois DMH Rule 132.
• Strong understanding of emotional, psychological and practical aspects of mental health.
• Ability to coordinate and present lectures for clients, parents and community resources.
• Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to prescribed work hours and additional hours as needed.
• Navigate transitions between treatment programs and levels of care.
• Collaborate in design, implementation and evaluation of treatment solutions.
• Provide behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals with behavioral health disorders.
• Deliver peer education and lead peer-led groups.
• Support outpatient group programming and focal group discussions.
• Be a member of the treatment team and participate in meetings.
• Comply with Rosecrance Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Deliver excellent customer service and serve as a role model.
