Job summary

National Church Residences in Columbus, OH is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented peer support within Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) programs. You will use lived experience to promote housing stability, wellness, and community integration, collaborating with case managers and housing teams.

Responsibilities include facilitating peer groups, developing recovery plans, teaching coping skills, and documenting services in accordance with HUD and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Ohio CPRS certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Associate's degree in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Lived experience with mental health recovery, substance use recovery, or homelessness.
• Experience providing peer support, mentoring, or recovery services.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group peer support to promote recovery and housing stability.
• Collaborate with Case Managers to support individualized recovery goals.
• Facilitate peer-led groups and life skills activities.
• Assist with ADLs and community resource navigation.
• Document encounters and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Advocate for resident voice and recovery-oriented practices.
