Job summary

Community Bridges is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide one-on-one support, assist with daily problem-solving, and promote normalization and reintegration into the community. The role emphasizes assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer support in both community and facility settings.

The successful candidate will have at least six months of recovery from substance use or mental health issues, six months' experience in behavioral health, a valid AZ driver's license, and CPSS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum six months recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Minimum six months experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Abuse field.
• Valid AZ Driver's License in good standing.
• Clear 39-Month Motor Vehicle Record.
• CPSS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Addiction and Substance Use Disorders certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support addressing client needs.
• Assist with day-to-day problem-solving for reintegration into the community.
• Apply assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer-support practices.
• Engage with clients in community and facility settings to promote recovery.
