Qualifications

• Current or previous experience as a consumer of mental health services required.
• Peer Specialist Certification required within 6 months from date of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle required.
• Bilingual skills and/or experience with multicultural populations preferred.
• Strong commitment to the rights and preferences of people with severe mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out rehabilitation and support functions and assist in treatment.
• Provide education, support, and consultation to families.
• Provide crisis intervention under clinical supervision.
• Provide mentor and outreach services to ACCS clients.
• Offer peer counseling and support to validate client experiences and encourage recovery.
