Elwyn in Rhode Island seeks an Adult Community Clinical Service (ACCS) Peer Specialist who works as a fully integrated member of the treatment team. You provide expertise about recovery, symptom management, and the persistence clients must sustain to lead meaningful lives.

As a Peer Specialist, you will deliver peer counseling, collaborate with the team on treatment planning, and support housing, employment, and community linkages.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to share personal insight to benefit clients and team.
• Must have a college degree in a human service field or a high school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred understanding of FHR/DPH/DMH policies and required trainings.
• Becoming a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) within 9–12 months is required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and consultation to clients, families, and staff.
• Integrate recovery-oriented practices and trauma-informed care into daily work.
• Support rights, preferences, and consent in treatment planning.
• Collaborate with the team to promote client self-determination and community tenure.
• Assist in assessments, engagement, and linkage to community resources.
