Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services in Quincy is seeking a part-time Peer Specialist to support individuals living with mental illness in the Peer-to-Peer program at our Quincy clinic.

You will help create a safe, home-like environment, lead peer-led activities, and connect clients with resources. Certification within 6 months and lived experience required; schedule includes Thursday/Friday 3-9 and Sunday 12-8; compensation based on experience.

Qualifications

• Peer Specialist Certification required within 6 months of date of hire.
• Lived experience with severe and persistent mental illness required.

Responsibilities

• Connecting with clients, urging open, honest dialogue, and showing by example that recovery is possible
• Being a role models for the group
• Advocate for their peers
• Promote healing through relationship building
• Provide guidance on other mental health resources if needed
