Job summary

Wings Recovery is seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Support Specialist to oversee a drop-in center, support peer engagement, and ensure a safe, recovery-friendly environment during scheduled hours. You will provide one-on-one peer support, facilitate group discussions, document interactions, and connect peers with community resources while upholding trauma-informed practices and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification or achieve within six months of hire.
• Maintain at least one continuous year in personal recovery.
• Ability to obtain NPI number and Medicaid billing number within 90 days of hire.
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Open, staff, and close the drop-in center during scheduled hours and keep space safe and stocked.
• Provide one-on-one peer support using lived experience to offer hope and practical recovery tools.
• Encourage self-advocacy, personal responsibility, and resiliency.
• Facilitate group discussions and recovery-focused activities; review Recovery Support Plans.
• Connect peers with housing, food assistance, harm reduction, employment support, and treatment resources.
