Job summary

Sanilac County CMH is seeking a dedicated Peer Support Specialist and Peer Recovery Coach to assist individuals in their recovery journey. Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide peer support, advocacy, and training, aiming to empower clients toward independence and community integration.

You will work within a 40-hour week, with duties spanning group facilitation, crisis support readiness, and collaboration with treatment teams.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma and active pursuit of DCH certification within 12 months.
• DCH Group Home Certification required within first 3 months.
• Crisis Through a Peer Lens training required.
• Must demonstrate recovery Experience to support and stabilize individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services under supervision to individuals served.
• Advocate for individuals and support personal recovery goals.
• Assist in setting up self-help groups andWRAP plans.
• Attend treatment team meetings and provide peer insights.
• Deliver peer training to staff and community on recovery supports.
• Ensure adherence to Peer Support ethics and MDHHS requirements.
