Job summary

Sanilac County CMH is seeking a Peer Support Specialist/Peer Recovery Coach to operate within ACT/Outpatient services. The role provides peer support, advocacy, and recovery coaching under Clinical Supervisor supervision, with emphasis on helping individuals set and achieve recovery goals.

The position requires a High School Diploma and eligibility for DCH Peer Certification, plus compliance with the MDHHS code of ethics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; DCH Peer Certification eligibility within first year is preferred.
• Must meet MDHHS Peer Support Specialist and Peer Recovery Coach Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services under supervision.
• Advocate for individuals served and assist in recovery planning.
• Assist in establishing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and relapse prevention.
