Job summary

Shifts are full-time, daytime, Tuesday through Saturday, with a starting wage range stated for California locations. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification, and at least one year of behavioral

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.

Responsibilities

• Engage and facilitate meaningful conversations to help members meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare’s Recovery Culture.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
• Support a least restrictive environment for members in emergency-related scenarios.
