Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I to engage with adults in behavioral health settings, supporting recovery goals and crisis de-escalation. This role offers a Friday–Monday 0.8 FTE schedule and a starting wage around $23/hour, with geographic differentials based on location.

The position requires a high school diploma, mandatory peer certifications, and state-specific credentials. Mileage and vehicle use may be needed for meetings and community outreach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification required before hire and maintained.
• Oregon: THW Certification required before hire and maintained.
• Washington: CPC/AAC certification required before hire and maintained.
• Arizona: PRSS certification required before hire and maintained.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance in your name.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate conversations to help members explore and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture as RCCS defines.
• Respond to critical situations with de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment.
