Preferred Behavioral Health of New Jersey is hiring a Peer Recovery Support Specialist in the Warren area. The role draws on lived experience to help parents and caregivers navigate recovery, access services, and build sustainable routines.

The position emphasizes outreach, advocacy, and coordination with community supports, families, and DCP&P case workers to improve outcomes and engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of addictions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces and supports recovery for parents/caregivers and families.
• Assists in gaining skills and resources to initiate and maintain recovery.
• Establishes and sustains a social and physical environment supportive of recovery.
• Coordinates with the recovery community and family teams for progress.
