Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health/substance use services or homelessness services.
• NYCPS peer program certification required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct home-based services and peer support
• Assist peers in achieving NYS peer certification
• Teach daily living skills (hygiene, laundry, budgeting, cooking)
• Monitor apartment cleanliness and safety; report issues
• Administer client cooking safety test and medication self-administration
• Document services and client progress in records
• Support self-advocacy and recovery goals
• Escort clients on travel as needed; lead groups as requested
